Xiaomi is going to turn MIUI into a HarmonyOS analogue from Huawei
Xiaomi is one of the few companies that rhythmically update their shells for smartphones, and no less rhythmically update old models to new versions of the interface. At yesterday's event Xiaomi Developers Conference 2019, we also talked about MIUI.
Qiao Zhongliang, deputy head of the MIUI development unit, said that within 2-3 years, the shell will "become the leader in the industry of intelligent systems and the coolest system in the minds of users. " No more, no less.

According to the manager, MIUI will have a number of new features implemented at the system level, and platform platforms for various IoT devices will be created on its basis. Behind the lines of this message is the transformation of MIUI into a full-fledged operating platform - something like Huawei's HarmonyOS. You might think that in a few years MIUI will be used in various Xiaomi devices - from fitness bracelets to projectors and smart door locks. The first step in expanding the boundaries of MIUI has already been taken - the shell is registered in the Xiaomi Mi Watch smartwatch.
